This page got away from me a bit, but I think it says a few things that have been on my mind for a while-about fantasy in general and about erotic (or at least fantasy with erotic elements) fantasy in particular. Basically it’s all valid-we may not like some and some may not be liked by anybody beyond the creator-but it’s still all fine. In fact, it’s better than fine.
Instead of grumbling that it could have been this or that, we should enjoy it for what it is (or make our own). The very variety of subject matter and the ways in which that subject matter is explored is a great thing and we should not work to diminish that variety.
If this page is a little too ‘off piste’ for you though, then it’s all Bao’s fault. She tends to have that effect on things 😉 I’ll do my best to get things back on track during the coming pages.
